Upgrade your inefficient electric / gas hot water system with an energy-efficient 300L electric heat pump.

Unlike other heating and cooling systems, which convert fuel or electricity directly into heat, a heat pump moves heat from one place to another. This makes heat pumps more efficient than an electric furnace or baseboard heaters.

EU's Recommendation

The VEU program recommends sizing your system based on the number of bedrooms, as the number of people in a household changes over time. For example, the demand for hot water might increase with the addition of children or tenants. For a four or more-bedroom house, the recommended tank size for the hot water system is more than 300 litres.

A system that is too small for your household may mean running out of hot water regularly. Consider a more extensive system if you have high hot water consumption.

You could be eligible for up to $3,000 in combined rebates for replacing your current electric heating system with a heat pump.
